Internationally known pottery decorator, Cynthia Meyers, oversees our design and production process. She has been decorating pottery for over 30 years and is listed in the "Encyclopedia of Collectibles"
Each piece is hand poured into plaster molds using the centuries old slip casting technique. Then each is hand finished and left to dry before its first kiln firing. During the first firing, the pieces are heated to approximately 1950 degrees.
After the kiln has cooled, each piece is removed and inspected. Only perfect pieces are sent on to the decorating process.
The artists use specially made clay slips and under glazes to hand paint your home or design on the piece. Once inspected, they are glazed, dried and sent to the kiln for a second firing, this one at a lower temperature of about 1800 degrees.

This process creates a work of art that will last for generations. The plates can be put in the dishwasher or microwave. However, they should not be used in the oven.
